Fourteen-year old Sophronia is a great trial to her mother. Sophronia is more interested in dismantling clocks and climbing trees instead of proper manners. Her mother has never more desperate for her to become a proper lady, causing her to enroll Sophronia in Mademoiselle Geraldine’s Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality. But, soon she will discover that this is no ordinary finishing school her mother had hoped for. Mademoiselle Geraldine’s is a finishing school for everything. Sure, the ladies learn the fine arts of dance, dress, and etiquette, but they also learn to deal out death, diversion, and esponiage… In the politest way possible, of course. Sophronia and her new friends are in for a chaotic first year’s education.
